Robitussin DX is for extra strength cough control.
It contains the cough suppressant Dextromethorphan. Robitussin DX, provides long lasting relief for up to 6-8 hours from dry, irritating and hacking coughs. This proven cough suppressant relieves coughs due to minor throat and bronchial irritation as may occur with a cold.
Active Ingredients
Each 10mls of oral liquid contains:
- Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide 30mg
- Also contains Sodium benzoate, Saccharin sodium, glucose, Fructose and Maltose.
- Non-Drowsy
Dosage
Every 6-8 hours orally when necessary.
- Adults and children over 12 years: 10ml
- Children 6-12 years: 5ml
- Children 2-6 years: 2.5ml
Do not exceed 4 doses in a 24 hour period. Not recommended for children under 2 years.
Caution
If cough persists for more than one week, tends to recur, or is accompanied by fever, rash or persistent headache, consult a doctor. If you have a persistent or chronic cough such as occurs with smoking, asthma, chronic bronchitis, emphysema, or cough accompanied by excess phlegm, consult a doctor before taking this product.
Do not take this product if you are hypersensitive to any of the ingredients or if you are taking an antidepressant without first consulting your doctor or pharmacist.
