What is ColonLYTELY and what is it used for?

Each ColonLYTELY sachet (original flavour or lemon flavour) when reconstituted as directed, prepares a ONE litre osmotically balanced, nonabsorbable solution that promotes bowel cleansing without causing substantial shifts in fluid and electrolyte levels.

A 4 L preparation of the ColonLYTELY formulation has been considered the gold standard in terms of bowel prep efficacy.

ColonLYTELY (also known as Kleanprep®, Kleenprep or Klean-prep® in Australia) is a purgative that is used to cleanse the lower bowel in preparation for endoscopic, barium enema, X-ray or surgical gastrointestinal examination.
