Let’s say you don’t have a gym membership or a set of expensive dumbbells at home to train with, does this mean that you can’t train at all?

No way, there are plenty of home workouts that don’t use any weights and you can get a great workout experience with them. Whether you’re trying to burn body fat, gain more muscle tissue, or both, you don’t need weights to get an awesome workout. In this article I’ll share with you some of the most effective bodyweight exercises that you can do by yourself to tone your body and lose fat fast. Ready? Here we go…

Squats

One of the best bodyweight exercises that you can do. The squats work the butt, quadriceps, calves, you name it. Not only is it a very intense exercise, but it also burns numerous calories quickly which in turn will help you lose weight .

To do a squat you need to stand with both legs at shoulder width apart . Bend your knees and send your butt backwards. Keep a straight line with your back and make sure your knees never pass your toe line. Go down to a 90 degree angle with your thighs at the most to avoid placing too much strain on your knees.

Push ups

An age old exercise that works the upper body including chest, shoulders, triceps . I’m sure you know how to do push-ups so I won’t explain it in detail. However, I will say that you can do a whole variety of push-ups: with your hands close or far apart, with your hands on an elevated surface, or with your feet elevated. Each version of the push-up works the muscles slightly differently so experiment and be diverse.

Close grip pushups

The reason why I mention the close grip push-up is that it is primarily a triceps exercise that doesn’t use weights while the other pushups work the chest muscles primarily. To do a close grip push up requires nothing more than placing both hands on the floor with your fingers touching each other. Then, just do a push up, Your triceps will feel it in no time.

Reverse crunches

To finish up this short home workout you can work your abs with a reverse crunch . Just like on the floor and bend both knees. Elevate them and crunch your abs to bring them closer to your chest. This is an awesome ab exercise.

I hope you’ve enjoyed learning about this home workout with no weights involved. No go ahead and do it.
